fonts-dejavu-extra software package provides Vera font family derivate with additional characters (extra variants), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-dejavu-extra
fonts-dejavu-extra is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-dejavu-extra package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-dejavu-extra *
You will get with fonts-dejavu-extra package name, version, architecture and description in a table
